A longtime executive of BNK Advisory Group, Michelle Gula helped elevate the firm to national status before splitting off its fee-based services to form m.rae resources. Today, as President and CEO of m.rae, she acts as a chief strategic facilitator, in addition to overseeing the group's strategic planning, core deposit capture, asset/liability management and other implementation services.
Gula frequently pioneers new industry products, including a body of fee-based strategic tools featuring a Deposit Capture Plan. This progressive process assesses the customer's perspective as well as the institution's marketing machinery to determine the best methods for achieving long-term value as outlined in the bank's strategic plan.
Michelle's also a regular on the national speaking circuit, having led high-profile presentations to thousands of bankers across the country. And, she's logged countless advisory engagements with banks ranging from mutuals and shareholder-based to international conglomerates.
Each month, Michelle shares her banking insights within the nationally circulated m.rae publication, Focus Forum. She's the co-author of a tax efficiency volume within "The Art Of" series of educational books that she, Jay Brew, and national economist Dr. Ed Seifried created specifically for community bankers. She's conducted original research and authored industry papers on topics ranging from noninterest income and Regulation D to mystery shopping.
