Dr. Edmond Seifried

With more than 2,000 national and international presentations under his belt, Dr. Ed Seifried's straight-forward approach has earned celebrity status with bankers in all corners of the country. As m.rae's Chief Economist, Ed shares his common-sense analysis of economic conditions through the firm's monthly national reports, email alerts, and quarterly telebriefings. He also serves as lead counsel of our Economic Survival Kit and is a member of our strategic advisory team.
In addition to his role at m.rae, Ed has served for nearly 30 years as Professor of Economics and Business at Lafayette College in Easton, PA. He is a longtime faculty member at Stonier, the Graduate School of Banking of the South, and the Graduate School of Retail Bank Management. He is also the dean of the West Virginia and Virginia banking management schools.
Dr. Seifried is regularly published in banking, academic and industry journals, and co-authored The Art of Strategic Planning and The Art of Risk in Community Banks with Jay Brew.
